Born in Glen Ridge, NJ, on March 31st, 1990, Tim was raised in a Roman Catholic family, and lived in North Arlington, attending Queen of Peace until the second grade. In 1997 his mother Susan, a nurse in Newark NJ, and father, Tom, a carpenter moved Tim, and his older brother Chris, to Allendale, NJ. He sang in school choirs and played the tuba until high school. Shortly before enrolling in Don Bosco Prep, an all-boys Catholic high school, Tim began to receive guitar instruction. After several lessons, his teacher had him start writing songs.
Tim wrote through high school and into college. In 2008, he enrolled in Loyola University Maryland (formerly Loyola College in Maryland) with a major in writing. During this time, he continued to pursue studies in songwriting and guitar. In 2010, he left Loyola and moved to Manhattan. There he enrolled in the Institute of Audio Research and interned at a publishing house, A Gathering of the Tribes. While in New York, he frequented open mic nights. In 2011, he moved back to New Jersey and held several part time jobs, continuing to practice guitar and song write.
Around 2012, he moved to central New Jersey and started to play in the music scenes surrounding Asbury Park, playing guitar and singing in an indie rock band, Lumber Jack City and a Django Reinhardt inspired group, the Jazz Gypsies. In 2015, he finished several recordings at a local home studio, Channel Drive Studios. He now regularly performs his songs, acoustically, as well as many notable hits by various artists ranging from 1940’s jazz tunes through popular songs of today. His influences range from Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Simon and Garfunkel, James Taylor, to the Shins, Brand New, Iron & Wine, and John Mayer.
